Big Howdy Welcome Party
A group of campus organizations, local churches and community volunteers who are here to welcome to UTD and to help you as you transition to living in Dallas, Texas. We also try to help you make connections within the community so you can have the best possible educational and personal experience while in Dallas, Texas.
Tejas Spring Break Retreat
Experience a three-day spring break retreat to a camp where students from all over Texas gather to experience fun things about Texas. This includes things like small group time, large group time, horseback riding and canoeing. Meals and two nights in a cabin are included. Contact your Home Group leader for more information.
NASA Trip
Interested in seeing space shuttles, hearing an astronaut speak and exploring space? This is the trip for you. Spend the day at NASA learning about the US space program, enjoy an evening of great food while you hear from some of NASA’s finest minds and experience a worship service in a local church. On your way home, stop at Kemah, a boardwalk on the Gulf of Mexico and enjoy the sunshine, carnival rides and cotton candy. This trip is only done every other year in the fall. Tejas Ranch Day
Spend the day on a Texas Cattle Ranch where there are fun “Texas” activities like archery, fishing, hiking and MORE. Enjoy the wide open space, blue skies and cows. Meals are included. This event is only done every other year, contact your Home Group leader for more information.
